Psyoptic Development Portfolio/eCommerce Site

User Interface & Programming

A small Land Rover Defender off-road part fabricator and retailer, Psyoptic Development is definitely in a niche market. Defenders have a cult following and Psyoptic Development is starting to gain it's own. After living on the off-road boards (internet forums) for years as a side business they decided to get serious. They needed their own site to handle the increase production & development.

To see how much the owner loves minimalism you needn't look further than his barely visible company decals on his products; Matte black on gloss black so you only see it if you are looking for it. This was the land of 1,000 iterations where he always wanted fewer things, fewer bells and whistles, a bare bones site that would do everything he needed. "Yeah, that looks great, just get rid of everything except..." was commonly heard. This is how we came upon the current design, everything you needed to know with no frills, nothing taking away from the mechanical precision of their products.

eCommerce integration is not needed as of yet because they do not usually have inventory and products are made either to-order or in batches that are normally spoken for.

Within the first week of having the new site up they had their first reservation order for the next batch of rock sliders.
